Enzyme in the CatCart - i.kovacs - 11-17-2014 12:13 PM

We have received this question to askthechemist@thalesnano.com:

I am trying to establish if the enzyme in the cartridge is immobilized (and if so, what method of immobilization was used) as well as what solvents are compatible with the enzyme preparation. Would you be able to help me and to answer my questions, please?

The CAL-B lipase we are selling is an immobilized protein. The enzyme is physically adsorbed on a macroporous acrylic resin. It is a recombinant protein expressed in Aspergillus niger, with an activity of 5000 U/g.
