We have received this question to

We would like to perform a dehalogenation reaction (removal of Cl atom) on an aromatic ring which has a ketone. Which catalyst would you recommend us?

Unfortunately both of the reactive group’s optimal catalyst is Palladium. If you would like to try some Palladium catalyst, than I would recommend to use low pressure and temperature, because that can be advantageous to the dehydrochlorination reaction instead of the ketone reduction.
As an alternative catalyst you may try to use the 1% Pt/C doped with Vanadium.
