Using the H-Cube® Mini Plus in the Continuous Flow Synthesis of Drugs – How Flow Chemistry Can Facilitate API Research

ThalesNano’s newest application note consists of three studies that showcase the versatility of the H-Cube® Mini Plus:

🔹Accelerated Benzocaine Synthesis: Rodrigo de Souza’s team demonstrated >99% conversion and selectivity for benzocaine in a single-step12-second reaction —significantly streamlining traditional multi-step batch synthesis.

🔹Advancement in Biocatalysis: Kylie A. Vincent and colleagues utilized the H-Cube® Mini Plus to achieve an efficient, hydrogen-powered reduction of riboflavin — offering a promising pathway toward cost-effective and sustainable cofactor regeneration systems.

🔹Theranostic Development: Tamás Kálai’s research group employed the H-Cube® Mini Plus for a key hydrogenation step in the synthesis of a spin-labeled Varenicline analogue—contributing to ongoing innovations in diagnostic-therapeutic hybrid technologies.
